The Pain 🤕

Dropshipping can be challenging, especially for cross-border merchants dealing with large, heavy products. 

NCASE produces and ships quality small form factor(SFF) PC worldwide. Every week, their team faces time-consuming, manual processes for handling their Shopify orders.

• Orders had to be manually exported as Excel and uploaded to the shipping platform, and there is often formating error 😵‍💫
• The correct logistics method had to be selected for each order based on the destination and product to save cost 🔢
• Shipping numbers had to be manually uploaded to Shopify 🏋️
• Packing lists needed to be compiled and translated for the warehouse 😮‍💨

These tasks required a dedicated person and were prone to errors due to the volume of orders. It is also difficult to scale with the current process.

The Solution 👩‍🔧

To address these pain points, I made a custom Shopify plugin was to automate NCASE’s shipping process.

• One-click Export 💅: Orders can be selected and exported directly from Shopify's orders page.
• Automated Logistics Selection 🧠: The plugin uses a custom algorithm to choose the best shipping method.
• Seamless Fulfillment ✅: Automatically generates and uploads shipping numbers to Shopify.
• Automated Packing List 📦: A packing list in English and Chinese is automatcially generated for the warehouse.

With this plugin, NCASE has reduced their shipping time by 80% with improved accuracy, empowering them to save labor cost and confidently scale their business.
